Chart of the Day: Russian Gazprom Exports to Europe Declined Slightly in September
Summary
Figure (1) above shows trends in Gazprom exports to Europe (including Ukraine) since the beginning of 2022. The peak in the Figure was in March 2022, a few weeks after the invasion. The decline in exports happened from both sides. Russia reduced shipments to some countries while others decided to find other sources to import gas. After a major drop at the end of 2022 and in 2023, Gazprom exports recovered slightly in 2024 but remain flat in the last three months.
