Summary
Figure (1) above shows trends in natural gas production in the Permian and Eagle Ford. Production has tripled since early 2013. Some of the sharp decreases in production were weather-related, mostly deep freezes, such as the one in early February in 2021 that nearly took down the Texas electric grid.
