Chart of the Day: Most US oil imports come from the Americas

Summary

Figure (1) above shows sources of US crude oil imports by source. About 60% of total US crude imports came from Canada and only 16% from OPEC. Six percent came from Saudi Arabia, 3% from Iraq, 2% from Nigeria, and 5% from the rest of OPEC.
