Chart of the Day: Changes in US Oil Exports Since the Russian Invasion of Ukraine
Summary
Figure (1) above compares US oil exports, both crude and products, between December 2021 and December 2023. It shows the impact of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on the destinations of US oil exports.
Why these dates? Russia invaded Ukraine in late February 2022. December 2021 becomes a logical choice especially since the US just released the December 2023 data.
