Summary
Figure (1) shows trends in China’s LNG imports in 2023 and 2024. In 2024, LNG imports increased by about 3 mt, the lowest increase since 2015. However, imports decreased markedly in recent weeks. The red arrow shows the direction of actual imports while the green arrow shows the direction of forecasts.
