Chart of the Day: German Power Generation by Source in July
Summary
Figure (1) above shows power generation by source in Germany for the month of July. About 50% is generated from solar and wind, which is impressive by any standard. The share of both coal and gas has decreased. About 19% is generated from coal and 15% is generated from natural gas. But be careful making conclusions our of this data as explained below.
