Chart of the Day: Iraq’s Seaborne Crude Exports Remain High in August, Despite a Small Decrease
Summary
Figure (1) shows trends in Iraq’s SEABORNE crude oil exports by destinations since the beginning of 2022. Since the middle of 2023, Iraq’s seaborne crude exports increased by about 500 kb/d. They reached a record high last July. Although the data for August is only for the first three weeks, August crude exports are slightly lower than that of July. More than half of Iraq’s crude exports go to China and India.
